The number of players in Super Eagles camp continue to increase as captain of the team Mikel Obi and John Ogu announced their arrival in the hotel earlier today.
Super Eagles have their first full training session this morning playing in a eleven aside facing each other.
In the Team A were; Francis Uzoho, Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Elderson Echijile, Ogenyi Onazi, Joel Obi, Oghenekharo Etebo, Junior Lokosa, Simon Nwankwo and Alex Iwobi.
In the second team we have; Ikechukwu Ezenwa,Kenneth Omeruo, Chidozie Awaziem, Stephen Eze, Uche Agbo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Mikel Agu, Odion Ighalo, Tyronne Ebuehi, and Brian Idowu.
For the goalkeeping department for the drills, all goalkeepers did well. No one can be rated over another because it was not long enough and combination of factors need to be considered which time did not permit.
The defenders from both side also did well.
During the the shooting drills for the strikers, all the front men were amazing when taking shots at goal. Simeon, Ighalo, Junior Lokosa, Kelechi Iheanacho all know and show that they know how to hit the balls.
Leceister City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi trained alone because he still recovering from an injury. He runs in the training and with what our correspondent witnessed, he will soon be in action.
The training game ended in a 1-1 draw as Simeon Nwankwo and Kelechi Iheanacho scored for their sides both home based goalkeepers, Ezenwa and Ajiboye conceded to Simi and Iheanacho respectively.
From the first training session, Junior Lokosa has to do more than being a fox in the box. He took his training and drill well, was amazing at give and go. For game scenario, we want to see him attempt to take the game by the scruff irrespective of where he plays because striking role might be a tough task in the main Eagles set up.
No doubt, Odion Ighalo and Simeon Nwankwo outshine him. He was a bit too careful from outside right where he operate from, though had a chance, offside ignored but smashed his effort against the post.
Moses Simon and Shehu Abdullah had brief visits to the physio but both are fine from their movement.
