Crotone got promoted to the Serie A in the 2019/20 season after finishing second in the Serie B behind Benevento and after a season in the Italian top flight. It's been a rough and tough season for Crotone who have so far managed only 5 wins in 34 Serie A games with Simy Nwankwo playing a big role in all of those wins. Although it's a disappointing season for Crotone, but a relatively good one it is for Simy Nwankwo who have so far scored 19 goals in 34 games, one short of the 20 goals he scored in the Serie B last season and with 4 games to end the season, there are possibilities of him surpassing his former goals tally. Although Crotone are relegated, Simy Nwankwo may bid the team goodbye at the end of the season with teams in Italy and abroad interested in his signature.
