The visitors trailed to Chuba Akpom's goal, before Sam Morsy was sent off for handball from a Collins shot. Norwich returned to the top of the Championship table with a deserved win at Reading. Emi Buendia gave the visitors an early lead after latching on to Andy Rinomhota's loose pass across his own goal 20 yards out, but Michael Olise quickly levelled when he inadvertently deflected in team-mate Ovie Ejaria's effort from 15 yards. Teemu Pukki put the Canaries back in front after the break from the penalty spot after Max Aarons was felled in the area by Liam Moore. Kieran Dowell's deflected effort came back off the post as the away side came close to a third, before Olise forced an excellent diving save from Norwich goalkeeper Michael McGovern in time added on. Adam Armstrong's winner in the eighth minute of stoppage time saw Blackburn Rovers come from behind to beat struggling Rotherham United at Ewood Park. Michael Smith's goal had put the Millers ahead, shooting home from the edge of the box having been put through by a header back towards the Rovers box. Teenage Liverpool loanee Harvey Elliott then equalised for Rovers with 10 minutes remaining when he blasted in left-footed from 10 yards out after Armstrong had played him in following some good control. And, with the game apparently heading for a draw, Armstrong pounced from close range after a cross was headed back across the face of goal. Wayne Rooney's promising start to life in management continued as Derby County toppled high-flying Swansea City to claim a first home win of the season. The Rams remain in the Championship's bottom three on goal difference despite extending their unbeaten run since Rooney was made interim head coach to six games. Robert Glatzel fired Cardiff into an early lead after some terrible Blues defending, but Marc Roberts equalised after some ponderous play from Cardiff. Sanchez's solo strike put the visitor ahead before Neil Etheridge saved Glatzel's penalty against his old club. But Harry Wilson levelled from an acute angle before Morrison headed home Wilson's corner to win it for Cardiff. The victory means Cardiff rise to 10th in the Championship, while Birmingham stay 17th. Coventry City extended their unbeaten run in the Championship to eight games with a goalless draw at home to Huddersfield Town. Isaac Mbenza should have given the visitors a 19th-minute lead as he rounded the goalkeeper, but he put his effort into the side-netting. With eight minutes left Max Biamou thought he had won it for Coventry, but his effort grazed the post and was then cleared off the line via the upright by Rarmani Edmonds-Green. A minute later Alex Pritchard's curling effort forced a great save out of Sky Blues keeper Ben Wilson as neither side could break the deadlock.
