Solari's Real Madrid left in ruins as The Bernabeu records the third worst attendance of the season
By Lord Verbinski
Real Madrid's 2-0 loss to Real Sociedad has produced many talking points and one of them will be the fact that the injured Gareth Bale didn't stay until the very end of the match.
The Welshman was watching from the stands of the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu after suffering an injury against Villarreal on Thursday night, but he departed in the 78th minute of Sunday's defeat to the Basque side.
It's unclear why the forward left early, but cameras for 'El Chiringuito' captured him departing when the score was still 1-0 and his teammates were pushing for a comeback.
Former Real Madrid player Edwin Congo explained that players not in the matchday squad during his time at the club were required to stay until the very end of matches, although this is no longer obligatory.
Bale who was very vocal in the aftermath of Ronaldo's exit to the Old Lady, has struggled to fill in the huge shoes left by the Portuguese Legend which has seen Madrid become a shadow of its former self
Bale's career has been hampered by countless, niggling injuries which have left pundits pondering whether or not he has been a flop at Madrid despite exhibiting momentary moments of brilliance which are unfortunately, very few and far between
