EPL: Ighalo is a great lad - Solskjaer
By Sampson Adedeji
The head coach of English Premier league side Manchester United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed former Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo after he agreed to move to Manchester United.
Ighalo joined the Red Devil from Chinese Super league side Shanghai Shenhua on the deadline day as one of the shock move of the day on a 6 month loan deal with an option of extension, BSN Reports.
United has been inconsistent especially in the attack since the commencement of the season and injury to the team first striker Marcus Rashford further affected the performance of the team.
After signing the deal Ole tagged Ighalo as experience player and expect him to add value to the Old Trafford side.
"Odion is an experienced player. He will come in and give us an option of a different type of centre-forward for the short spell he’s staying with us.
A great lad and very professional, he will make the most of his time here," he said.
Ighalo netted 40 goals in 100 appearances for Watford before moving to Changchun Yatai.
