In an interview with Nigerian ace journalist, Samuel Adepoju in Joannesburg after the match, Rohr said: "I was told our two goals are not offside but I don't discuss referees and officiating," said Rohr. However, South Africa Bafana Bafana head coach, Stuart Baxter claimed his team was robbed by the referees adding that his team would have won the game if the match officials were fair in their decisions. "The referees were harsh on us, if not, we would have come out victorious," Baxter said.
