SPL: Aribo In Action, Balogun suffers setback, as Rangers defeat Hibernian 2-0


SPL:
    Nigerian trio Leon Balogun and Joe Aribo were impressive, as Rangers cruised to a 2-0 over Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership. However, it was a sad night for Balogun, as he was taken off just after 15 minutes because of an injury, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Gers faced the Hibs in their 26th game of the season. Rangers were always favourites going into the tie, as the champions had already accrued two times of their opponents’ points. The host took the lead in the 5th minute through James Tavernier’s penalty before Alfredo Morelos extended their lead to 2-0 in the 57th minute with a beautiful finish to ensure Rangers pick maximum points. Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo was substituted at 75 minutes by Aaron Ramsey after putting a superb efforts in the midfield with control of accurate passes. However, Leon Balogun, who also had a solid game in the defence, was substituted in the early part of the first half due to injury. The victory put Rangers second on the league on 62 points.
