SPL: Aribo Suffers Injury Setback, Out For Six Weeks

Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo, has suffered an injury setback, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After international break, action will resume in the Scottish premier league on Saturday and Rangers will have to continue their season campaign without the Nigeria forward.

Since the start of the season, Aribo has been a key player for the Gers until he sustained injury which ruled him out for few weeks.

The team head coach Steven Gerrard was expecting him back before the international break but was unable to return after the doctor confirmed the severity of the injury.

During a press conference organised ahead of the clash against Dundee United on Saturday Gerrard confirmed that Aribo will be further out for 4 -6 weeks .

" It is a big blow with Joe (Aribo) he is a player we rate highly, it is actually good news as was a situation that it could have required surgery but he doesn't and we hope he can be back in four weeks. It will be a blow however as he is a major talent.

He has had a setback with an ankle strain and will be missing for 4-6 weeks," he said.

Rangers will be hoping to return to a winning ways after securing draw in the last match against Livingstone.
