Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun made a competitive debut for the Scottish premier league side Glasgow Rangers on Saturday as league actions resumed in Scotland, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Balogun joined the Ger few days back after the expiration of his contract with the English premier league side, Brighton Hove Albion.

The former Wigan defender started the game gave a Man of The Match performance and played the whole duration as Rangers defeated the hosts Aberdeen 0-1 away from home.

Ryan Kent netted the only goal of the game earlier in the game and Rangers was able to defend the goal till the end of the game.

The win ensured that Rangers secured the maximum points from the match day one of the league.
