After an impressive performance on Saturday in the match day one of the Scottish premier league, Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has been named in the Team of The Week, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The lanky centre back joined Rangers from the English premier league side Brighton Hove Albion few days back.

He put up a superlative performance as Ger defeated host Aberdeen 0-1 through Ryan Kent'goal.

He was named alongside Jeremy Frimpong, Greg Taylor, Ryan Porteus and Trevor Carson as goalkeeper.

The midfielder includes Ross Steward, Jamie McGrath, Liam Craig, Martin Boyles and Ian Harkes.

Odsonne Edouard who netted hat trick was placed as the attacker.
