Ahead of the match day 4 of the Scottish premier league, the head coach of Glasgow Rangers, Steven Gerrard has confirmed that Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun will not play a part in the game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Former Mainz 05 player who joined the Gers in July has been one of the outstanding player since the commencement of the new season.

He was replaced after the first stanza of the midweek clash against St Johnstone when he sustained an injury.

Gerrard confirmed his unavailability during press conference organised on Friday ahead of the match.

"He won't be available for the weekend as he has a small quad problem. We are still waiting for some scan results to confirm that but he is certainly ruled-out for the weekend," he said.

Balogun made Scottish premier league team of the week after an amazing performance in the match day one.
