SPL: Former Super Eagles Defenders Turns Coach
By Sampson Adedeji
Scottish Premier League side, Livingstone FC, has named ex-Super Eagles defender, Efe Ambrose, as one of the assistant coaches of the reserved team of the club, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The former Kaduna United player joined Livingston just few weeks before the 2019/2020 season ended abruptly after going over a year without playing a competitive game following a January 2019 exit from Easter Road.
The club announced his new role on Tuesday evening and was announced alongside Marvin Bartley and Gary Maley.
The trio took over from Stevie Pittman and Derek McWilliams, who left the Tony Macaroni Arena in June.
The head coach Bartley was excited over the appointment of Ambrose and believes he will improve the team.
"Efe is a massive characters but in all seriousness, he will bring his own high level of expertise."
"He has played at the absolute highest level so to have him involved is absolutely brilliant for us and the boys will love working with him," Bartley told the club website.
