SPL: Gerrard Hails Aribo Outstanding Performance

  By Sampson Adedeji Following his outstanding display in the Scottish premier league match against St Johnstone, manager of Rangers Steven Gerrard has heaped praises on Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Nigeria international just recovered from minor injury and illness that held him back in the recent weeks . He was instrumental to Gers 3-0 spanking of St Johnstone on Wednesday night and also assisted in one of the goals. "I thought Aribo really flexed his muscles tonight and showed he's back. “He's had a real tough start to the season with a big injury – probably the first of his career – and then a bit of an illness which held him back. “He's gone through the gears in the last three or four weeks and he looks close to being back to his best which is really pleasing," he said. Rangers has extended their point gap against rival Celtic to 16 after securing 11 straight wins in the league.
