SPL: Rangers Plan To Extend Balogun's Contract

Head coach of the Scottish premier league side Glasgow Rangers Steven Gerrard has confirmed that the club has put machine in motion to extend the deal of Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Former Mainz 05 centre back joined the Gers in 2020 from the English premier league side Brighton Hove Albion after a successful loan spell with championship side Wigan Athletic.
Balogun has turned out to be a good bargain for the Scottish club put up amazing performance both in the league and UEFA Europa League.
Gerrard during a press conference on Friday ahead of the league clash against Aberdeen on Sunday, he confirmed the contract situation of some players including the Nigeria international.
" All contract chat will remain private between players and the club once they get up and running.
At the right time, we will sit down with Allan McGregor and see what he wants to do in terms of his own future. Leon Balogun is also someone we want to keep hold off," he stated.
Rangers will hope to continue it's impressive display and extend their lead when they face Aberdeen on Sunday.
