SPONSORSHIPS ARE ATTRACTED NOT INVITED - ALLOY CHUKWUEMEKA

The Secretary of the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL Club Owners Association Alloy Chukwuemeka has reckoned the effect of sponsorship deals as it affects the nations top tier league the NPFL.

Chukwuemeka stated this while appearing as a Guest of the FCT Football Update Personality Interview segment.

In his words, ABS FC Football Director said: "sponsors are attracted not invited and kudos should be given to the LMC for the uncommon transformation in the NPFL which has attracted sponsors. As you are aware, the league was at the right pedestal which has over time attracted both national and international recognition and commendation."

Chukwuemeka, pointed out some reasons as the bane for the cold feet portrayed by some of the League sponsors. "The toxic environmental factors and economic meltdown forced some of the partners to step aside."

In spite of the sudden conclusion of the NPFL season due to the Covid-19 pandemic however, Chukwuemeka have some cheering news to share. "As we speak now and with the level of success in the abrupted season, more partners are now willing to do business with the League including Next TV which is the broadcast partner amongst others."

As a member of the NPFL Club Owners Association, Chukwuemeka expressed satisfaction with the state of Nigerian League and what he think can be done to return the glamour of the past. "So far so good and like I said earlier, our league is on the right pedestal; we have done the needful to be amongst the recognised leagues of the world. What we need now is to consolidate on the achievements recorded, manoeuvre the negative environmental factors and advance to the next level" he concluded.
