As January transfer window wind up today Thursday, January 31 with plentiful teams looking to boost their teams before Deadline Day.
Belgian First Division A club Sporting Charleroi have reportedly downplayed speculation linking Victor Osimhen with a switch to Italian giants AC Milan, BSNSports reports.
Milan have been scoping the market for a striker after they were priced out of moves
for Gerard Deulofeu and Yannick Carrasco and shifted their attention to the Nigeria
international.
Osimhen joined Sporting Charleroi on a season-long loan in the summer of 2018 and is said to be improving at a rapid rate than he did in Germany, scoring 10 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions.
According to reports should Wolfsburg decide to sell him this month, Charleroi have
the right of first refusal on his services as a purchase clause was inserted into the
agreement between the German and Belgian clubs.
Chief Executive of Charleroi, Mehdi Bayat has revealed that he would consider selling
the Nigerian only if they receive a bid of more than €15 million euros.
''Any transfer from Osimhen is only negotiable for more than 15 million and at present no club has made such an offer,"
Bayat said.
