Stephen Odey Joins Amiens

French Ligue 2 side Amiens FC have unveiled Nigeria's Super Eagles striker, Stephen Odey, after the player completed his medical on Thursday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Odey started his professional career with Nigeria Professional Football League Club MFM FC and remained the all time scorer of the club.

He departed Nigeria few years back for Swiss club FC Zurich after finishing second on the top scorer chat of the NPFL behind Anthony Okpotu.

He was signed by the Belgium Jupiler League side, RKC Genk, on a 5 year deal last summer but failed to tie down a regular shirt.

Three French clubs; Guingamp, Paris FC and Amiens FC approached Genk for his signature before he agreed to joined the later.

Odey was unveiled on Friday morning on a year loan deal with an option of outright purchase.

He will put on jersey no 9 and might in action on Saturday when Amiens face Paris FC in a derby match
