The 2020/2021 English League season will be up and running. For Stoke City they will kick-start their season campaign against Millwall.

It is going to be a defining season for the Potters in all ramification. The ambition this season will surely be to return to the English Premier League. The signing of Former Chelsea star Mikel Obi highlights the level of ambition that Stoke City have this season.

They have also added to their ranks with the signing of Morgan Fox, the amazing Steven Fletcher, Jacob Brown and James Chester to their roster. For John Mikel Obi he will bring in experience, winning mentality, leadership qualities and that extra motivation he has gathered so far having played at the highest level. For stoke City, he has shown during their pre-season friendlies that he will be key and pivotal for them when the season starts. Stoke City has this to say about the Ex-Super Eagles of Nigeria captain: "You’re always wary taking a player from abroad but with John it wasn’t like that because he’d been in the UK for so long. There was no worries about that scenario.

"What John has demonstrated - and his fitness levels are improving all the time, having not played since March - is that every day in training is a top quality player who can handle the ball and is able to tactically understand the game and help the players around him tactically. He’s been great since he came in."
