Sunday Dare: Nigerian Athletes Are Going To The USA To Get Olympic Tickets

After the seeming disappointment of Nigerian relay teams missing out at the just concluded World Athletics Relays in Poland, Nigeria Minister of Sport, Honourable Sunday Dare speaks of Nigeria's chances of qualifying to the Olympics through the tour in the USA, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigerian Sport Ministry promised Nigerians that all hopes are not lost as they look forward to securing Olympics tickets for the athletes for a tour in the United States of America rather than the popular choice of a World Athletics Relays.
Dare at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja paid visit to the athletes preparing for the meets in the United States which provides opportunities for the teams to secure slots to the Olympics.
"We are going to the US because we can have other meets that will place us on the path of qualification. If you also followed the outcome of what happened in Poland; for some the relays we have four, five slots from two left, some we have three. So, the chances are brightening" The minister enthused.
The minister assures the athletes of support, and advises that they should be focused and not be distracted.
The first batch of the Nigerian athletes will be leaving for the US on Thursday to participate in the meets planned for the teams to earn qualification points.
Nigerian team will be camped in Kisarazu for two weeks before the Olympics.
