Nigeria minister of youth and sports, Sunday Dare has arrived New York in the United states of America to keep a date with history as he joins Nobel Peace Laureate professor Mohammed Yunus in the exalted seat of special dignitaries invited to deliver keynote address at the 74th United Nations General assembly.
The high level event on social business, youth and technology will hold at the United Nations headquarters from the 25th of September, 2019.
Global committee on social business for sustainable development, Goals, which is chaired by Nobel peace Laureate and United Nations SDG Advocate Alumni, Professor Mohammed Yunus, works on forming a global cross-sector and cross-gerenational partnership network to innovate together for achieving sustainable development goals through applying the methodology of social business, involving the creativity of youth and the power of fast changing technology. Dare who emerged Nigeria Youth and sports minister only recently, has started on a very good footing, using his rich knowlege and experience to get the sector working and putting in place the right structures needed to achieve the desired results.
In a brief chat with www.nigeriasportsmouthpiece.org Dare said he is excited at the oportunity provided by this event and will take all the positives from it, to help move the sector forward.
In a letter inviting Nigeria sports minister Sunday Dare as one of the dignitaries for this event, it was obvious that the organisers have taken a good look at his achievements and appreciate the few successes he has achieved since becoming minister of Youth and sports and they did not hold back in giving honour to whom it is due. The last paragraph of the letter reads…
…We would be honored if you accept our invitation be our opening keynote speaker and have Nigeria as this year’s co-sponsor member state. And Global Committee on Social Business for Sustainable Development Goals will work together with Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations on UNGA Event process to make this year’s event a big success again.
