Sunday Dare Wants Early development of Gymnasts

Nigeria's Minister of Youth and Sports Development Sunday Dare on Wednesday has stressed the need for a quick discovery as well as necessary grooming measures of individuals who seems to have what it takes to be a gymnasts. Bsnsports.com.ng understands

The minister pointed this out, when the gymnasts of TIG Gymnastic Club paid a were received in his office at Abuja.

He said that early development of young gymnasts within age 3 and 12, will prepare them ahead when it comes to representing the country in Major tournaments.

Mr Dare can't put aside how amazed he was as to how they displayed their awesome skills when he watched them train at the Moshood Abiola National stadium, Abuja.

"Beyond what it will do for them in terms of their development, both mental and physical, these ones are the future of this country because they will represent Nigeria not just at this level but up to the Olympic level," he said.

He also emphasize the need for the gymnasts to be educated and he has promised to ensure that some of the gymnasts are beneficiaries from the ministry's scholarship program
