CAFCL: Sundowns Commence Build Up, Arrive Nigeria Today

Mamelodi Sundowns are set to arrive in Nigeria today to begin their CAF Champions League preparations.

The Brazilians will take on Lobi Stars of Nigeria in their first group A encounter of the CAF Champions League on Friday, with Sundowns recently confirming that their midweek Absa Premiership clash against Polokwane City has been postponed.

The Masadawana on Saturday thrashed rival Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 in the Absa Premiership and giving them the right frame of mind for the encounter.

“We know the assignment at hand and are more than ready to make our fans happy right from the first game until the entire six games we are going to play in the group stage. We are going to be focused on our preparations while we are going to wait to get more information about them. We are not afraid.” Pitso disclosed to Goalkick Magazine.
