Super Eagles Under Pressure Not To Lose To Brazil - Kanu

Former Super Eagles captain Kanu Nwankwo has said that the Nigeria senior national team are under pressure not to lose to Selecao of Brazil in their international friendly match on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The former Arsenal star made this statement after the Samba Boys of Brazil recorded a 1-1 draw with African Nations Cup runners-up Senegal in their friendly match in Singapore on Thursday.
Kanu Nwankwo masterminded Brazil loss in the Olympics semifinal in Atlanta '96 when he scored two late goals to send the Dream Team into the final where they defeated another South American and world football giants Argentina to pick the gold medal.
Preparing for the world cup qualifier, Brazil is also under pressure to win Super Eagles having unable to win any match in their last three games.
The Selecao played a 2-2 draw with Colombia, lost 0-1 to Peru and drew 1-1 with Senegal on Thursday. Brazil have not gone four matches without a win.
The Gernot Rohr-led side have also not lost in their last three friendly matches they have played.
Nigeria face Brazil in an international friendly to put the team in good shape ahead of November’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho.
The South Americans defeated the Super Eagles 3-0 in their last meeting in Abuja, and after 16 years, both teams will square up against each other to battle for supremacy.
The encounter is scheduled to kickoff at 13:00 pm (West African Time) on Sunday, October 13. Gates open at midday and fans would have a chance to buy their tickets, which will be complemented by activities such as the locker room experience, photo booths and a pre-match music extravaganza.
