Super Eagles Midfielder Named In Scottish Premier League Team of Week

Super Eagles midfielder Joe Aribo has been included in the Scottish League Team of the Week for his impressive performance in Rangers’ opening day win against Aberdeen on Saturday.

The Team of the Week was compiled by football facts and statistics website Whoscored.com.

Rangers kicked off their season with a hardfought 1-0 win at Aberdeen thanks to Ryan Kent’s 21st minute goal.

Aribo was one of the most outstanding players for Rangers and was unfortunate not to crown his effort with a goal.

Also in action for Rangers was Aribo’s Super Eagles teammate Leon Balogun who joined from Wigan Athletic.

Aribo was on target during Rangers’ friendly games prior to the start of the Scottish League.

He scored one of the goals in the 4-0 win against Motherwell and was on the score sheet again in the 2-0 win against Coventry City.
