Super Eagles New Invitee, Anaemena Wants More NPFL Players In Eagles

Super Eagles new invite and Enyimba International defender Ifeanyi Anaemena has said that Nigeria Professional football League will get better if it players are given more opportunity to the play in the national team.

Anaemena who is making his first appearance in the super Eagles main team expressed joy over his invitation to the national team as a replacement to Brian Idowu who could not make the trip to Nigeria due to visa issues.

Speaking to the media in Uyo today (Tuesday) he said,” I must say a big thank you to coach Rohr for given me the opportunity to be in the team against Benin game.

“Seen how things have been going in the NPFL it has been a great privilege for us the players to represent in the national team.

“I know by the grace of God more of the NPFL players will be invited in order to boost up our league because when we go out and see other players talking about the comparison of the league and you will agree with that our league is the best and I know it will get better when more of the local league players are being invited.

“It will also be a big improvement if NPFL players are given opportunity to be part of the national team which I believe will go a long way for us”, Ifeanyi Anaemena said.
