Super Eagles Newbie Semi Ajayi Outshines Etebo, Voted MOTM In Rotherham’s 2-2 Draw Against Stoke

Super
The fine form of Rotherham newly capped Nigeria senior international Semi Ajayi continued on Saturday with the 24 year old putting in another dominant performance in their 2-2 draw against Stoke City. Ajayi made his international bow for Nigeria in their last AFCON 2019 Qualifiers against Seychelles coming on as a substitute for Chidozie Awaziem and since then he has grown in leaps and bounds. He was up against his international teammate Oghenekaro Etebo in Saturday’s game against Stoke but his more illustrious compatriot was no where near the level of the former Nigeria U20 trainee. His man of the match award was made possible by the fact that he made 36 touches and his tally of 8 clearances was the highest in the game plus he won 8 of the 11 duels he was involved in aside making three well timed tackles. Fans of the Championship side are already pushing the club to secure the future of the former Arsenal youth prospect as they are rumours of other teams lining up moves for the defender who can also play as a midfielder
