  Paul Onuachu ended the hosts' eight-year unbeaten record on home turf...but how did the rest of Gernot Rohr's team fare in Porto-Novo? BSNSports.com.ng rates the performance of the players on Saturday. MADUKA OKOYE 7/10 The Sparta Rotterdam goalie didn’t have much to do in the game, but saved well from Steve Mounie’s effort in the first half. OLA AINA 7.5/10 The Fulham right back grew better in the game as it progressed. The highlight of his first half was a cross field pass to Henry Onyekuru which almost led to a goal scoring chance. WILLIAM TROOST-EKONG 6/10 Like Balogun, the Watford central defender was untroubled for the majority of the game, although Mounie nearly capitalised on his indecision from a long ball six minutes after half-time. He did try to be ambitious in possession from time to time. LEON BALOGUN 8/10 The center back was put under immense pressure in the first half but he improved in the second half. Held the ball well and put in the body when required. ZAIDU SANUSI 7/10 Took the corner-kick that led to the goal. A lively performance from the left-back. WILFRED NDIDI 6.5/10 Often found himself isolated in the middle of the park but held his own owing to the home side’s ineffectiveness in midfield and attack. JOE ARIBO 5.5/10 His ball retention was good while he was able to find the forward players but his efforts to fall back and help the defence was not so spectacular as his defensive shift was not the best. SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE 6/10 The Villarreal winger didn’t do too much in the game. Not one of his best outings for the Super Eagles. HENRY ONYEKURU 6/10 Started the game well but fizzled out afterwards. Had a good understanding with Zaidu Sanusi on the left. ​KELECHI IHEANACHO 6/10 Was ambitious with his shooting early on and stung the palm of Allagbe with a powerful effort. The in-form Leicester City forward dropped off in the second half and was replaced by Paul Onuachu. PAUL ONUACHU 8.5/10 A great impact coming off the bench to score the needed goal from close range with a header. Man of the match The much-maligned target man replaced Kelechi Iheanacho and got the winner at the death, despite being anonymous for the preceding 20 minutes. ANAYO IWUALA 5/10 The Enyimba wide man was brought on in place of Henry Onyekuru and he showed some flashes of brilliance but his desire to impress the coaches saw him wasting some chances that his teammates could have converted. CHIDOZIE AWAZIEM 4/10 Brought in place of Ola Aina to shore up the back line. Didn't do much though.
