Super Eagles Striker Moves To Romania

  By Sampson Adedeji In order to rejuvenate his dwindling career, Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Joseph Akpala has joined the Romania premier league club Dinamo Bucuresti, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Akpala started his professional career with Bendel Insurance in 2005/2006 before moving to Belgium Jupiler League side Sporting Charleroi where he netted 24 goals in 61 games. He ended his stay with the Belgian side KV Oostende in the 2019/2020 season and has been unattached since then. Dinamo is the second most successful club in Romania after Steau Bucuresti but yet to taste the title since 2007. The Romania side announced his capture on Thursday and his expected to resume training with the rest of team immediately. Apart from playing in Belgium, Akpala has also played in Germany with Werder Bremen, Turkey with Karabukspor and Al-Faisaly in the Gulf region. Akpala made his Super Eagles against South Africa in 2008 and scored for Nigeria in an international friendly against France.
