By Admin Former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia says Moses Simon will be a big miss for the Super Eagles if he misses out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia due to injury. Simon copped a thigh injury in training with the Super Eagles in Uyo and has been effectively ruled out of the World Cup. “Let’s wait for the final list first before arguing this,” the former Super Eagles captain told BSN. “But if he is left out, he will be a big miss for the team. He brings a different attacking quality to the team.” Simon scored one goal and provided two assists for Nigeria as they qualified for their sixth FIFA World Cup from a group that had Cameroon, Algeria and Zambia. Nigeria will face DR Congo later on Monday before the squad departs for England Tuesday night. The Super Eagles will take on England at Wembley on 2 June before facing Czech Republic in their final pre-World Cup game in Austria on 6 June. Credit: CSN
