Super Falcons’ Coach Reveals Plan Towards Winning World Cup

Nigeria’s female national team, Super Falcons’ new coach, Randy Waldrum has unfolded an ambitious plan that he believes should see the squad make history by winning the next FIFA Women’s World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Although the nine-time African champions have only reached the round of 16 of the Women’s Mundial twice in history, the last of which was just two years ago at the 2019 edition in France, Waldrum disclosed that he has a method that could see his lasses upturn the apple cart. This is part of the gameplan the American soccer tactician unfolded at the start of his assignment with the Falcons at the Turkey Women’s Cup, where they will open against CSKA Moscow of Russia’s female team, ahead of which the collegiate soccer expert is talking tough. After the battle against CSKA, the Falcons will tango take on Uzbekistan on Saturday and then next Tuesday face Equatorial Guinea, heading into which Wladrum is heaping praisesm on his players, but admitted eh will still have to beef up the squad in key areas. He went on to declare that he has been pleased with the ton of talents he has already seen in the Falcons, adding that he strongly believes that, with the right preparation, they can achieve a top finish at the World Cup. Waldrum, who hinted that he will expand his pool with younger players, as those from the last World Cup are getting old, posited: “Moving forward, the Falcons have to enjoy a deep run at the World Cup, we have to play to win at the World Cup. “Year in, year out, Nigeria have to be in the top-4, and then anything can happen. The consistency of finishing high has to be top priority. There’s a method and a plan to this.”
