Ashleigh Plumptre has been nominated for Women Soccer League player of the month following her brilliant display for Leicester City, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ashleigh Plumptre has been a key presence for the Foxes in February. Her performance against West Ham saw the side keep a clean sheet, while her early goal helped take Lydia Bedford's side above Everton in the league table. Plumptre was also impressive against Birmingham as Leicester ran out 2-1 winners.
Ashleigh Plumptre will battle it out with Jess Carter of Chelsea, Ann-Katrin Berger of Chelsea, Jemma Purfield of Leicester City, Alosha Lehmann of Aston Villa, and Asleigh Neville of Tottenham Ladies for the award.
he 23-year-old Plumptre helped the Foxes win their two matches in February, against Birmingham City and West Ham United.
She netted her first ever goal in the Women's Super League as Leicester City thrashed West Ham 3-0 on February 13, rising highest to nod the ball into the bottom corner after eight minutes.
Plumptre trained with the Super Falcons on Sunday evening at Palais des Sports de Treichville in Abidjan ahead of their reverse fixture against Ivory Coast.
