Super Falcons Fail To Qualify For Olympics As Cote d'Ivoire Progress

Super Falcons of Nigeria hope of playing at the 2020 Olympic is over as they are out of the qualification after recording a 1-1 aggregate against Cote d'Ivoire senior women national team, BSNSpors.com.ng can report.

BSN Sports reports that Ivorian forward Nina Kapho, shocked the Nigerian fans at the Agege Stadium on Monday when she put her national team ahead in the 12th minute of the encounter.

Barcelona Femeni forward and Falcons captain Asisat Oshoala restored parity in the 34th minute before both teams headed into the locker room.

Efforts form the Falcons to score the winning goal was thwarted by the Ivorians

Super Falcon had on Thursday played a goalless draw in Abidjan and are out of the qualifications on away goal rule.

With this result, Super Falcons have failed to qualify for the Olympics Games on two consecutive times.
