Nigeria's Super Falcons striker Ini Umotong has parted ways with the women team of the English premier league side Brighton Hove Albion.

Umotong joined the Seagulls in 2017 after she left Oxford United where she netted 17 goals in 26 appearances, BSN Reports.

Her departure was announced through the club website on Friday morning alongside other 5 players of the team.

“Letting players go is never easy and there was a lot of discussion among all of the staff before we made what were extremely difficult decisions.

“I would like to thank Kate, Amanda, Sophie, Fern, Ini, and Maxime for their commitment, dedication and hard work during their time here at Brighton.

They have always been totally professional and great teammates. We wish them well for the future and will, of course, support them if they decide to continue in the professional game," the club said.

She scored 19 goals in 59 appearances for the club.

Umotong has played for Nigeria's Super Falcons 7 times and scored once.
