Enugu Rangers Midfield stalwart Tony Shimaga Msonter has disclosed that the Flying Antelopes are in Lagos for the NPFL title ahead of the Championship playoffs starting this week in Lagos.
The former FC Ifeanyi Ubah player believes that Rangers have all it takes to clinch the title. "I believe we did well in the regular season, and now is the time to cement all those hard works in the playoffs by winning the title"
The Benue born player is of the view that the task is not going to be easy bearing in mind the quality of teams taking part in the playoffs. "Honestly, we know it's not going to be easy, all the six qualified teams are the best in the land but if you want to be a champion, you have to beat the best. I have respect for all the teams participating in the Super Six, but I am more focused on helping Rangers win the league and secure CAF Champions league ticket."
"That was our goal from the on set, we worked so hard to be here today and now we have the chance to meet our target, and we have to make this opportunity count"
He also appreciated Rangers fans for their support throughout the season and asked them to throw their weight behind the team for a stronger finish. "The fans have been fantastic this season not just at home but also at our away matches, we need them now more than ever and we believe they will come through in Lagos"
