Supreme
By Niyi Busari When the Supreme court judgement was passed so many Nigerians including the Amaju Pinnick led board denied the effect of the nation's highest court orders. There have been tension on ground since the day the judgement was passed, as if the Barrister Christopher Giwa led board are waiting for the Amaju Pinnick board to travel for the world cup before taking over the glass house. The Super Eagles of Nigeria are out of the cup in the group stage, having lost two matches from three group D matches, thus, some of the Amaju Pinnick led NFF board are yet to return to Nigeria. On Monday 2nd July 2018, it was a surprise as Chris Giwa led board takes everyone unaware to assume office with over one hundred armed policemen on stand by. The board went straight to the board room, before coming out to inspect each of the offices and staff of the NFF on duty. Giwa led board had about 20 minutes meeting among themselves before they call in the staff for a brief meeting. As at about 1:30 pm Nigerian time according to the Supreme Court Barrister Christopher Giwa becomes authentic NFF president. As at the time of this report, the Chris Giwa led board (Yahaya Adama, Effiong, Sanni FEMA, Obinna Ogba, Otunba Sunday Ajayi etc) is putting head together to see how they cam move Nigerian football to where it ought to be.
