FCT Sports Writers Association (FCT SWAN) FCT chapter has vowed to eat Unity Sports Foundation (USF) for dinner as both sides lock horns in a blockbuster friendly match in Abuja.
The clash would take the centre stage on Saturday, October 9th at the FIFA Goal Project Package B of the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja. It is to honour late goalkeeper, Edmund Azuibike who was a member of USF.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, SWAN chairman, Bunmi Haruna says though it is a friendly game, his players will approach the game with their minds focused on winning.
"We totally appreciate the organizers of this friendly game put together by SWAN's competition committee, headed by Tolulope Oguntimehin."
"Not many teams want to play us, because they are scared we would beat them."
"We are focused on winning come Saturday, we have promised and we will deliver" Bunmi said.
On his part, the chairman and captain of USF, Engr Anaguoye Benjamin, said that the match would further consolidate the existing partnership with the FCT SWAN and also to honour their late goalkeeper, Edmund Azuibike who died last month for his great service to the club.
“The friendly match is all about cementing our existing partnership, share mutual ideas with the FCT SWAN that will benefit both parties and most importantly pay tribute to our late goal keeper Edmund Azuibike who give all his best to the club while he was alive” he concluded.
