SWAN FCT commiserates With Lagos Chapter By Our Reporter The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN FCT Chapter commiserates with its Lagos counterpart on the demise of one of it's members, Esther Aleru. Late Esther was a sports presenter and producer at Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN. She was also a Treasurer of the Sports Writers, Lagos Chapter. Reacting to the demise, the chairman of SWAN FCT, Comrade Bunmi Haruna said he was shocked when he received the news. According to him, "I am still in shock to hear that Esther Aleru has gone too soon. She died when she was needed most. "Esther was special, and she will be greatly missed by all especially the sporting world. She was a dedicated and trustworthy person. As the Treasurer, she was never found wanting with the Association's money. "However, we commiserate with Lagos SWAN executive and its members, the management and staff of the FRCN and her family. May God give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable and irreplaceable loss," he concluded.
