By Sampson Adedeji Nigeria's Table Tennis star, Ajoke Ojomu has dedicated her success in the last National Sports Festival in Abuja to God and mother. Ojomu emerged champions in the tournament at the expense of more established players. Ajoke while speaking to BSN sports said: "The last sports festival in Abuja was a huge success, I did a lot of training and hardworking and I also passed through obstacles on the way to the competition. The best players home and abroad were present and being victorious was not by my power but God." "What is behind my success is two key things God and my mother, maybe I can just add up hard work because anytime I went to training, my mother always pray for me." Ajoke told www.bsnsports.com.ng "Whatever you are doing in this life if your mother prayer is not there you are going nowhere, despite the situation my mum always there to back me up," she added. The 2018 National Sports Festival gold medalist admitted that the World Table tennis Championship in Hungary is a big stage where the best table tennis players across the world compete for International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Rankings, she, however, believed that despite being her first experience in such championship she will not disappoint her fans across the world. "The World championship that is going to be held in Budapest, Hungary from 21st to 29th of April is a big championship, it has to do with the best of the best. And for me is a big championship because it is my first competition in the senior category, i am so happy that I will be representing Nigeria with other senior players like Funke Oshonaike, Segun Toriola, Aruna Quadri to mention but a few. "But is not the happiness that is there but the work ahead and is the beginning of my career is huge competition in my career. "I just pray that I should go and emerge victorious at the end," she concluded. She will represent Nigeria in the competition alongside her compatriots.
