Taekwondo Federation unveils final team for All African Games

The Federation has released the final list of the sixteen athletes that will represent Nigeria at the Taekwondo event of the forthcoming All African Games.
Captaining the Male National Team will be All African Games Veteran, Sunday Onofe, who will be competing in the male middle weight -87kg category. Other members of the male team are: Arinola Abdullateef [male fin -54kg], Abdulfathi Sanusi [male fly -58kg], Ifeoluwa Ajayi [male bantam -63kg], Shola Olowookere [male feather -68kg]; Bright Paul Kolade [male light -74kg], Peter Itiku [male welter -80kg], and Benjamin Okuomose [male heavy +87kg]
Captaining the Female National Team will be another All African Games Veteran, Chinazum Nwosu, who will be competing the female bantam weight -53kg category. Other members of the female team are: Josephine Esuku [female fin -49kg]; Sekinat Adebayo [female fly -49kg], Helen Okoko [female feather -57kg], Vivian Ndu [female light -62kg], Elizabeth Anyanacho [female welter -67kg], Uzoamaka Otuadinma [female middle -73kg] and Chiamaka Onumonu [female heavy +73kg].
The team will be led by National Coaches, Alhaji Sani Lawal and Mr John Victor, both graduates of the International Coaching Course run by the World Taekwondo – Kyung Hee University South Korea.
Head of Team Meeting and drawing of lots is expected to take place on 20th August 2019 while the three-day hostilities will begin on 21 August.
