Taiye Yusuf targets NPFL safety for Yobe Desert Stars

The newly appointed Technical Adviser of Yobe Desert Stars Taiye Yusuf has said that his focus in the second half of the season is to keep the Yobe State-owned team in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Yusuf who was appointed after the sack of Ngozi Elechi on Monday assured the Club’s fans that the team will not go down this season.
In his words: “We need prayers from the fans of Yobe Desert Stars and by the Grace of God we are not going to relegation this season”.
Yusuf’s first game in charge is Sunday’s road trip to Gombe State to face Northern rivals Gombe United.
The State-owned team is bottom of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) group B table with 10 points from 12 matches.
