Taking Football To The Next Level My Target In Kwara - Bash

The General Manager of Kwara United Football Club, Bashir Badawiy, has revealed why he left his post in Rivers United as General Coordinator to teem up with his home town club.

Badawir, who hails from Ira, Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State started his football career from primary school, he represented some clubs on the home front and later starred for defunct Flaming Flamigos before he traveled to Egypt to join Beladiyya Mehalla.

Bash who quits football so early as a result of nagging back injury became a football administrator in 2003, when he joined Kwara United as a consultant to the Harmony Warriors.

He later worked with defunct Sharks FC as coordinator, he left Sharks for defunct Dolphins FC and worked as coordinator, he left Dolphins and joined Nasarawa United as Coordinator, from where he staged a return to Port Harcourt for a second stint with Rivers United and later joined Kwara United as the General Coordinator.

"l was excited for the opportunity given to me to take football in Kwara State to next level," he told a renowned Soccer Platform Family United By Football, FUBF in a virtual interview.

"Nothing motivates me than to come and improve the standard of my state football.

"l've been working in Rivers State for so long, now that the state is blessed with better governor His Excellency AbdulRahmon Abdul Rasaq, for his love and passion for the game, I can even work with him for free.

"It doesn't cost me anything to relinquish my appointment and cross over to my state to improve the standard and the capacity of the game.

"No body sacked me in Port Harcourt, am still loved over there by all and sundry, I do communicate with the commissioner often, I was the General Coordinator over there for so long and it's time for me to move on.

"l am now the General Manager of Kwara United, it's an achievement and promotion for me, so taking football to next level is my target in Kwara State," Bash, the youngest General Manager in Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL told FUBF.
