Wolves set to signs Abraham

Following days of negotiations, English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers are on the verge of signing Nigeria and England youngster Tammy Abraham on a loan deal from Chelsea.

Chelsea loaned Abraham to English Championship side Aston Villa last summer and he has netted 16 goals in 20 appearances for the club.

Wolves believes Abraham can help them secure a top-half finish this season.

Chelsea have until January 14 to trigger a recall clause in Abraham's loan agreement. Wolves will likely be paying a large proportion if not all of the player £55,000 weekly wages.

The lanky forward has represented England Junior Three Lions at all level but is eligible to switch his allegiance to Nigeria, if the Nigeria Football Federations do enough to convince him.
