Taye Taiwo Complete Move To UPSL Club Palm Beach Stars

Former Super Eagles defender Taye Taiwo has complete a move to United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) club Palm Beach Stars, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Taiwo last stints was Cypriot outfit Doxa Katokopias. The 35-year-old spent just four months with Doxa Katokopias before severing ties with the club. The left-back previously had stints in France with Olympic Marseille, Italian giants AC Milan, English Premier League club Queens Park Rangers and Turkish side Bursaspor, Finnish clubs HJK Helsinki and RoPS, Swedish outfit AFC Eskilstuna and Switzerland’s Lausanne. Palm Beach Stars was admitted as part of Southeast Conference Florida South Division 1 teams last month. The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 300 teams nationwide. The UPSL is the largest Pro Development League in North America. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated. UPSL teams are eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the league’s affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
