  Team FCT Leaves For Edo 2020 With 261 Contingents By Niyi Busari Team Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Friday morning left their camp at Old Parade Ground, Area 10, for the venue of the 2020 National Sports Festival with 230 athletes and 31 officials. Team FCT will be represented by 230 athletes in 27 games at the 20th National Sports Festival. Led by six armed mobile policemen with seven buses, one ambulance, the athletes are in high spirits eyeing medal hauls at the Championship. FCT was the host of the last edition of the National Sports Festival where they finished 7th on the medals table. In football, where FCT won gold in 2018, the players expressed optimism of repeating same performance that earned them the honour .   FCT will be competing in 27 games including, football, boxing, tennis, weightlifting, wrestling, handball, gymnastics, judo, chess, trado sports, swimming, volleyball, Scrabble, Taekwondo, karate, golf to mention but few. After so much controversy and postponements, the 20th National Sports Festival will commence on 6th to 16th April.
