In the men's category, South Africa and Kenya have booked semifinal places from the three-nation group. Both teams have won a game each, trashing Namibia. South Africa got a 13-1 win against Namibia and Kenya also got a 4-1 win against Namibia. Hence, South Africa and Kenya have both qualified despite having to play one more game against each other to determine who tops the group. The game will be played today. In Pool B, Egypt are through to the semifinal while Nigeria men's team are pushing for a place in the last four. Egypt won their first two games, 4-2 against Nigeria and 1-0 against Ghana. Nigeria men's team are currently second and must avoid defeat against Ghana to secure a place in the last four. Yesterday's 10-3 win against Uganda has improved Nigeria's chances as Ghana were forced to a 1-1 draw by same team. As it stands in the Pool, Egypt with 6 points top the group, Nigeria with 3 points are 2nd, Ghana with 1 point are 3rd and Uganda with 1 point are 4th. So, all eyes will be on the clash between Nigeria and Ghana tomorrow - a draw is all that Nigeria needs. In the women's category, Nigeria have it all to play for when they face Kenya in their last Pool B game. Already, the women's team have 4 points from two games having played a 2-2 draw with Ghana and defeated Zambia 2-1 in the second game. Ghana top the group with same points but good goal difference. Kenya have three points from two games. Nigeria must avoid defeat against Kenya to book a place in the last four. In the other pool, South Africa are through to the last four after two games. They beat Zimbabwe 3-0 in their first game and were awarded a 6-0 score for a bye against Namibia who arrived Ghana late. They have one more game to play against Uganda tomorrow. Zimbabwe are 2nd in this group with 3 points gotten from 5-0 win against Uganda. They play one more game against Namibia. South Africa top this pool with 6 points, Zimbabwe 2nd with 3 points, Namibia 3rd with three points gotten from 3-0 win against Uganda and Uganda 4th with no points. The game between Zimbabwe and Namibia will be a cracker as it will determine who join South Africa in the semis. For Nigeria teams they must avoid a defeat in their last games, the men against Ghana and the women against Kenya. A big margin win for the women against Kenya put them 1st in the group and avoid a clash against South Africa, while the men just must not lose their game.
