Ten Female Wrestlers Set For African Wrestling Championship in Tunisia

President, Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Daniel Ighali announced the readiness of ten females wrestlers and two officials who will on Thursday (today) leave Nigeria for Hammamet in Tunisia for 2019 African Wrestling Championship.
The first batch of Nigeria contingent will fly Turkish Airlines on Thursday from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos for Hammamet, Tunisia the host city of the 2019 African Wrestling Championship.
Ighali who expressed lack of funds for the Nigerian contingent stated that the Federation still need about $34,000 for their accommodation and participation fees in order to have a hit-free competition.
A few hours later, Ighali told www.bsnsports.com.ng that the Federation was able to raise the accommodation and competition fees for the athletes adding that they will leave for Tunisia today.
However, the Federation we wait for the release of funds from the Ministry of Sports for athletes and officials allowances and other expenses.

"We are really struggling, we still need to raise about $34000 by tomorrow
"We were only able to raise enough for their accommodation and competition fees.
"Meanwhile, we are waiting for funds from the ministry for athletes allowances and other expenses."
