Teqball: Plateau State to Host First National Challenger Series By Our Reporter The Plateau State Teqball Association was on Monday 17th May 2021 awarded the hosting right for the first National Challenger Series by the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Teqball Federation (NIGTEQ). National Challenger Series was launched in 2020 by the Federation International of Teqball (FITEQ) to mark the return of competitions after the global lockdown as a result of the Corona Virus pandemic. The Challenger Series was designed to provide Athletes the opportunities to compete at the national level and also serve as the qualifiers for the Teqball World Championship which will come up later on the year. Speaking after the meeting, the General Secretary of NIGTEQ, Mr. Ndudi Edede affirmed that the Executive Committee in a meeting chaired by the president of the federation Engr, Habu Ahmed Gumel has awarded the hosting right of the 1st National Challenger Cup to Plateau State. “After considering the application of Plateau State through the State Association to host the First National Challenger Cup, I am happy to announce that the hosting right has been awarded to Plateau State” he stated. “The Executive Committee has also agreed that entries into this edition of the series will be club-based participation”. The series will hold in two cities in Plateau State between the 26th July to 1st August 2021. Modalities for entries and other details will be released in the coming days.
