The Amaju Pinnick led board may go down in history as the most spendthrift or corrupt board, if revelations of in depth investigation of finances of the board is anything to go by.
Investigations reveal that the Sunday Dankoro House at the Package B of the Abuja National Stadium built with N321m by the defunct Presidential Task Force for 2010 World Cup in South Africa, has already gulped N400m with nothing to show for it.
This is a building completed by the PTF with N321m waiting for just furniture, and yet Pinnick led board says it has spent N400m renovating the house, which is still looking like a building under construction.
Former Governor of Akwa I om state, God's will Akpabio gave the board N50m early 2015 to furnish the place but that money went up in smoke. Pinnick initially said the furniture was on the high sea and later said d furniture had been auctioned without any trace of the proceeds.
One of the sponsors, TGI Group of companies, gave N100m to the Federation but there is no trace of the money hitting the Federation'account or the purpose for which it was used.
The six zonal centre's commissioned in 2016 to be completed in 2017 in Kwara, Jigawa, Bornu, Osun, Anambra and Bayelsa are still in the pipeline yet millions of naira have been spent on the non existent project.
Our investigations revealed that N100m was spent on the prototype, plus an additional N80m for furniture and sundry expenses but painfully none is standing in each of the states mentioned.
Niger Insurance company, one of the Federation'sponsors pays N30m for every Super Eagles matches, while the agent who brokered the deal smiles home with N3m, the rest develops wings not to be accounted for in any account or records of the Football House.
The worst hit are the staff of the Federation who are being owed between N80m to N1billion in allowances just between 2014 and date. This figure is after deductions of any receipt of an expenditure the staff cannot produce and negotiation to pay an agreed amount
Some staff have not travelled to any championship, whether Cup of Nations or World cup since Pinnick came on board for reasons best known to him. Only staff perceived to be loyal to him and his cronies get patronage to travel.
More painful for the staff is the redundancy that he reduced the workforce to, while their jobs are given to outsiders, and at best, left for few hands supposedly loyal to him.
The staff were promised that the world Cup largesse will be used to pay them despite the the claims of mega sponsorship deals they secured, which has no records in the NFF secretariat.
The height of the corruption is in the area of double budgeting the so called Pinnick led board had feasted on. Every state hosting Super Eagles matches take up 100 percent of the bill, yet the Federation makes another budget and collect money from government which they alone know what it is used for.
Wait for more of these corruption infested board led by Amaju Pinnick
