Three Nigerian strikers end 2019 with a goal for their respective club

It was a good outing for Nigerian strikers on Saturday as Kelechi Iheanacho, Anthony Nwakaeme and Anthony Okpotu scored to lead their respective teams to victory in league games.

Kelechi Iheanacho was target for Leicester City in their 2-1 win over West Ham United in one of the English premier league fixtures on Saturday.

It was Iheanacho's fourth league goal of the season for the Foxes.

In Turkey, Nigeria forward Anthony Nwakaeme scored in Trabzonspor impressive 5-2 home win against Kayserispor in their Turkish Super Lig clash on Saturday.

Nwakaeme doubled Trabzonspor’s lead in the game with eight minutes before the break.

The energetic striker has now scored six goals in 18 league games for Trabzonspor this season.

In Tunisia, former home-based Super Eagles forward, Anthony Okpotu, was the hero as his club US Monastir secured a 2-0 away win at Ben Guerdane.

Okpotu scored the opener for Monastir in the 12th minute, before Yasine Amri added the second in stoppage time.

Okpotu has now scored seven goals in 11 league matches for his club this season.
