Tijani Babangida emerges NANPF President

Former Super Eagles player, Tijani Babangida has emerged President, National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers, NANPF.
Babangida's emergence was sequel to the stepping down of his only opponent, Ashifat Olayinka Sulayman who said that Kwara United manager, Abubakar Bala who has travelled with the national U20 team as national team assistant coach,made him to step down from contesting for the post.
Ashifat explained further that Bala Abubakar's national assignment leaves him with the responsibility as the head coach, adding that he wouldn't need any distraction during his reign as Kwara United coach.
Ashifat Olayinka before he stepped down was contesting against former Super Eagles winger, Tijani Babangida.
With this development, Tijani Babangida automatically emerged as NANPF President.
